Bathtub Gin was a Seattle-based hard rock band with a bluesy bent that clearly belied their musical influences. Thought, by a handful of self-proclaimed rock historians, as “The Lost Grunge Band.” Well-regarded musicians, including under-appreciated guitar player Jeff Hiatt, backing (tolerating?) a posturing, preening, stereotype of a front man. Enjoyed 10 minutes of fame when Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready wore a “Bathtub Gin” tee-shirt on MTV. Evidently there was a recorded release of a sort titled “Mash”.
