• These are a) film photos and b) old — that means they aren’t perfect. K? We have done best-effort restoration and editing while maintaining the truth of the photos.
• I like grain, I embrace imperfection, and things are dark — it’s the reality of this body of work and the moments that made it.
• I have self-funded this entire affair. It has been staggeringly expensive. This is the first and foremost consideration in both completing the preservation of the entire archive (TBD) and why we’ve set down hard lines on what and how things are available.
• I own this – all of it – exclusively. If you take things from here without permission for any kind of commercial or self-promotional purpose, you are a thief. If you can live with that – so be it. You kinda suck, though.
• My intentions are now, and have always been, to respect the true legacies of the people, places, and things of the time. If that means these photos should’ve kept locked up, then I made the wrong choice, but for all the right reasons.
