Crackerbash

Power-pop-post-punk (dare we say “emo-core”?) trio active in the early 90s, Crackerbash was part of a vibrant Portland, OR scene that included Hazel, Pond, The Spinanes and 30:06 while putting out records with Seattle’s more garage-punk indie label, eMpTy. Fronted by singer-guitarist Sean Croghan (Formerly of the Hellcows), and backed-up by rock-solids Scott Fox and Ted Miller, Crackerbash were well-known for their extremely intense live shows. Solidly rooted in the sonic noisey-feeling aesthetic, Crackerbash also stood out for their enthusiasm, unusual song structures and emotional vocals. Croghan went on to front Jr. High, while Fox and Miller joined Satan’s Pilgrims, which plays occasionally to this day.
