Loosely defined as garage rock, these wackos rocked Seattle with the abandon possible only to guys who were secure in their awesomeness. Price already had the street cred from being guitarist for the mighty U-Men. Wright’s animated stage presence complemented his goofball lyrics which have covered everything from sand fleas to the sin of sloth. Gas Huffer released numerous singles, seven full-length albums, and two EPs before playing their final show at the Crocodile in 2006. Price has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, but still manages to rock out with the Tom Price Desert Classic, also featuring Blackstone on bass.
