Widely considered the band that beget “Grunge”, Green River shifted the paradigm, hybridizing their punk, hardcore, heavy metal, and trash-rock influences into one noisy, churning strain of rock. They were indisputably ferocious live and put out some damn fine records, to boot. Members of Green River have gone on to play in some of the most highly acclaimed bands in modern history.
