Himsa was a heavy metal band from Seattle, Washington. Formed in 1998 with hardcore roots, their band name is from the Sanskrit word himsa, which means "harm" or "violence". Oft referred to as "Metalcore", Himsa was one of many next-gen metal bands that redefined "heavy".

Having toured extensively with the likes of Danzig and Cradle of Filth, the group released four full-length studio albums, two EPs, and one DVD before their disbandment in 2008. They occasionally play reunion shows around Seattle.
