The antithesis of tall skinny lattes and overpriced microbrews, Bellingham’s Mono Men stood for cheap beer, sticky floors, and blaring lo-fi rock, taking up where ‘60s Northwest garage bands like the Sonics and the Wailers left off. They pumped out over 60 recordings throughout the years, including six LPs and numerous singles, EPs, and compilation appearances, not to mention: Crider's Estrus Records label AND the yearly Garage Shock festivals at Bellingham’s sadly now-defunct 3B Tavern, four days of 20-plus bands playing to largely inebriated crowds of blissed out trashrockers.
