Geoff Tate sang for both Myth and The Mob (Progenitor version of Queensrÿche), though Myth seemed to be Tate’s primary band. Myth had a wealth of original material, including future Queensryche songs “Take Hold of the Flame” and “No Sanctuary.” When Geoff left Myth to join Queensrÿche upon landing the big record deal, he was replaced by the Richie Blackmore-like Brent Young (brother of Rail’s Terry Young), who later became a successful record producer.
